{"id":589,"date":"2026-01-13T14:49:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T22:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pandosyneighbourhood.ca\/?page_id=589"},"modified":"2026-01-13T14:50:19","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T22:50:19","slug":"board-chair","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pandosyneighbourhood.ca\/index.php\/board-chair\/","title":{"rendered":"Board Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Board Chair<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role Summary: <\/strong>The Chair is the principal leader of the association, responsible for ensuring the Board functions effectively, meetings are conducted efficiently, and the Association\u2019s mission is upheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Preside over all board meetings and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Provide leadership in setting the strategic direction of the Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Association in dealings with the community, government, and stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Ensure Board members fulfill their responsibilities and that decisions are implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Act as a signing officer for the Association as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Facilitate Board development and succession planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Ensure that the B.C. Registry is kept up-to-date on the composistion of the Board of Directors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Keep the Board moving forward with the set goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Helpful Skills (Not Required)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Leadership and facilitation experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Public speaking or community advocacy experience<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Organizational planning and decision-making skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time Commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Approximately&nbsp;6-8 hours per month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;Attend all Board meetings and key events<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Board Chair Role Summary: The Chair is the principal leader of the association, responsible for ensuring the Board functions effectively, meetings are conducted efficiently, and the Association\u2019s mission is upheld.
